Following thousands of auditions conducted in New Zealand, London and Canada, 10 year old Neel Sethi was selected to play the iconic role of Mowgli in Disney's forthcoming live action and animated version of The Jungle Book.

Directed by Jon Favreau, Sethi - who hails from New York - will be thrown into the spotlight when he takes on the role, starring alongside Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba, Lupita Nyong'o and Scarlett Johansson. Despite having no professional acting experience, Favreau said he chose Neel because of his 'tremendous talent and charisma'.
